Baptism

The Baptism of your child is a wonderful blessed occasion for your child, your family and our parish community. Baptism is the first sacrament of initiation into our Catholic faith and the foundation of Christian life. In the Sacrament of Baptism we are reborn of the water and of the Holy Spirit, and we are invited to share in the mission of Jesus Christ here on Earth.

Parents and Godparents must attend one class prior to Baptism. Parents & Godparents must complete a registration process and attend a sacramental catechesis class. Classes are held in English and Spanish. Volunteer catechists work with the Coordinator to prepare the Parents and Godparents of our community for the sacrament of Baptism. Call the office for an appointment and to schedule your class.

For those wishing to be a Godparent or Sponsor, letters of recommendation to act as Godparents or sponsors can be given only to registered members of the Parish who are confirmed, attend Mass and receive the sacraments regularly. If the requesting person is married, the marriage must have taken place in conformity with the laws of the Church. Call or visit the parish office to request the letter.
