COVID-19 Guidance
Our parish has ongoing protocols for the prevention of Covid-19 spread. Below are some of the measures we are taking to protect our members, clergy and visitors. Below are our updated protocols (as of Sep ’21):
- Face masks covering the nose and mouth are required at all times when on church premises and during Mass
- The Sign of Peace shall be performed through no-touch gestures.
- Holy Eucharist shall be received in the palm of your hand.
- As you approach the Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (EMHC), please remove your face mask and place the palms of your hands one above the other in front of the Minister, where he/she will deposit the host. Consume the Body of Christ immediately, in front of the Minister.
- Please understand that it is not safe for our ministers of the Holy Communion to give the Eucharist on the mouth. This is only done by exception. Kindly abide our Bishops directive. If this poses a conflict for you, please speak to a priest.
- The church and premises are sanitized before and after each mass, including artifacts such as books and microphones.
- We have minimized the sharing of artifacts such as books and microphones.
- All liturgical ministers shall self-screen regularly for Covid-19 exposure, and excuse themselves from serving when appropriate.
Please do not come to church if you are sick, or if you are aware of exposure to COVID-19.
Protocolos para la Prevención de COVID-19 en la iglesia
Nuestra parroquia continúa sus protocolos para la prevención del contagio de Covid-19 en la iglesia. Estos son algunos de los pasos que estamos tomando para proteger a nuestro clero, miembros de la parroquia y visitantes. Estos protocolos han sido revisados (Sep ’21):
- Se requiere usar mascarilla que cubra la nariz y la boca mientras está en los predios de la iglesia, y mientras asiste a misa.
- El Saludo de la Paz se hace sin contacto físico.
- La Sagrada Comunión se distribuye en la forma del Cuerpo de Cristo.
- La Sagrada Comunión se recibirá en la palma de la mano.
- En el momento de comulgar, cuando se acerque al sacerdote. diácono o Ministro Extraordinario de la Sagrada Comunión, remueva la mascarilla de su cara y ponga las palmas de sus manos frente al Ministro, quien depositará la hostia en su mano. Consuma la hostia inmediatamente, frente al Ministro de la Sagrada Comunión.
- Con esta pandemia, es un riesgo de salud para los Ministros de la Eucaristía dar la Comunión en la lengua. Si esto le causa conflicto, hable con el sacerdote.
- La iglesia y salones son desinfectados antes y después de la misa. Esto incluye artefactos como libros, micrófonos, artículos litúrgicos, etc.
- Se ha minimizado el compartir de artículos como libros, micrófonos, etc.
- Todos los voluntarios laicos de ministerio litúrgico han de auto-examinarse regularmente con el formulario provisto por su líder, y deben excusarse de su servicio cuando así lo dictamine el formulario.
Por favor, no vaya a la iglesia enfermo o si sabe que ha estado expuesto al COVID-19.
