Ministry of Catechist

With a new Apostolic Letter issued “motu proprio, in 2021 Pope Francis established the lay ministry of catechist, intended to respond to an urgent need for the evangelization of the modern world, and undertaken in a “secular” manner, avoiding clericalisation.

“Fidelity to the past and responsibility for the present are necessary conditions for the Church to carry out her mission in the world”, writes Pope Francis in the Apostolic Letter Antiquum Ministerium.”

St Isaac Jogues has a vibrant and mature Ministry of Catechists. Every year, we nourish with the bread of the Word and the fount of living water to over 800 children and youth. Even during the 2020 pandemic, we were not stopped! and continued our Faith Formation programs in a fully virtual environment. In 2021, we continued the digital transformation that we achieved last year to continue evangelizing, through hybrid programs featuring in-person as well as virtual catechesis.

If you feel the calling to join this, the most important of the lay ministries, please contact us at faithformation@st-isaac.org. We would love to have you!
