Proclaimers of the Word of God

Ministers proclaim the Word of God at Eucharistic Liturgies on Sundays, feast days and special occasions.

Authentic proclaimers not only know how to read in public; they live and love the Word of the Lord. In other words, “You proclaim the Word on Sunday, and your life reveals it the rest of the week—a responsibility not to be taken lightly.” (Barga, M.E., Lampe, S., Wagner, E.J., and Nawrocki, S., 2024 Workbook for Lectors, Gospel Readers, and Proclaimers of the Word, United States Edition, Liturgy Training Publications, p. iv)
